Printer Love!! It does Exist!

Yes!  You too can fall in love!

Here is how he story goes...

I buy a printer.  I realize how expensive ink cartridges are and I cringe.  The printer finally dies and I decide the next printer will have reasonable priced cartridges.  Well, they start out that way and then the older your printer gets the cartridges start to climb in cost.  Boo! Why?  I know why.  Because they know I have to have them!!

I have been through many printers and many printer brands.  I am not an affiliate with Epson in anyway.  I love the quality of prints from Epson.  I just do.  Epson has some magic when it comes to printing and in my opinion, if you print photos, there is little competition on the value of their photo paper. I prefer the Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper.  There is a difference!
I don't just print photos.  I print a lot of documents, journal text for scrapbooks, hundreds of coloring sheets and color by numbers for the kids.  I print crafts bits and pieces.  I am also the leader for my daughter's Girl Scout Troop and I spent a good portion of the past year being the craft lady for my MOPS group. So... I print a lot at home for those meetings too.  And, of course, I am not the only person using the printer.  In short, we are printing fools!

This printer can handle it all.  The best part, besides the amazing quality, the ink refills are reasonable especially when you see how long one lasts.

Here is is!!  It is an Epson ET- 2750
ET stands for Eco Tank! Literally you get these big bottles of ink when you buy the printer and you dump them in the reservoirs.
I have had this printer for over a year and a half. As you see, I am not shy with printing.  I was changing ink cartridges every 2 months with my old printers.  That is $$$$$$!!

I will tell you the reservoirs, filled only with the full bottles of ink that came with the printer, are just barely reaching the point of 1/3 of the ink being used.  They are still 2/3 full after a year and a half!!!  If you consider that, this printer may cost more up front but what you save in ink it is a great value.

I can print anything and I know this thing can handle it!

At first it did not like thick card stock.  I knew there had to be a fix. It is to awesome to not print thick card stock. I scanned the Internet and finally found it and it is oh so simple.   A few clicks and you will have it printing the thickest of card stock.  Here is a video tutorial I did so people wouldn't have to search and trouble shoot like I did.

If you are going to print on the back of all your Christmas cards like I did it will need to be set for thick card stock.  It worked like a dream.  I will add one little bit of awe factor. I printed last years cards like this too.  The ink levels I showed above were after printing 70 additional cards this year. ;)  still 2/3 full!

If you are in the market for a new printer, here it is!

It is a fantastic tool in your arsenal when you want to Make a Merry Mess!
