The Great Purge of 2020 is coming in January!!
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas!
The fun, and late nights have been many and now the attitudes are off the charts here. :)
It is time to start thinking about where to put everything and how to get our world back together. But... let's take it slow.
The holiday has come and gone. New items have entered our lives. Misc people have been in and out and it seems everything has been moved, dumped, rearranged or stashed. Tell me I am not the only one that "company cleans" which actually means stashing?
Everyone has tried to "help" and I can't find anything. The laundry is backed up. My body is feeling gross and probably needs a good sugar purge too.
This is my reality right now. It's been fun and it is MESSY!
For the next several weeks I have a challenge for you! Let's clean up and clean out together. Each week I will have a new challenge for us. One space to tackle. One space each week seems reasonable. Right?
We will clean the house top to bottom and purge while we are at it. I'll post each Monday with the goal for the week. You can share pictures and ask for help or share triumphs here under each challenge post. You can also follow along with Making a Merry Mess Facebook page where I'll post inspiration and have a thread for sharing as well.
If you have a problem area I bet others do also so share often.
If you are proud of your new clean space show it. I want to celebrate you.
Along with the cleaning and organizing we have to be able to look within ourselves too. I am pretty sure if I look within I will just see piles of sugar and excess amounts of wine and probably a little timmer about to go off and signal that my patience levels are at an all time low. ;)
Thank goodness they are cute!
At the end of each post for the week, we will have a physical challenge or a self care challenge each week too!
Let me be clear. You can't fall behind. It's just not possible. If you fall off the train for a week or more just join us the following week and give yourself grace for the missed weeks. A little is better than nothing!
So, now it is time to ring in the new year and maybe get the wrapping paper collected so the cat stops judging. I can see it in her eyes.
Also, help me get ready for January! Share with your friends. Let's get everyone active and ready to join in. I promise it won't hurt. You'll feel so good when it is done. If your planning to join me for the great purge of 2020 let me know by leaving a comment.
It was fun making the mess but now we need recovery. let's recover together so it can be a "Merry Mess" once again!
I'll be back Monday to get started! That will give the kids time to get back to school and a few days of peace to shake off the holiday haze before we begin.
