GReat Purge of 2020! - Post #2 - Bathrooms!
This is my dream master bathroom.
But, unless I move without telling my husband or kids it probably isn't going to happen. Let's face it. Real life is not always magazine perfect.
Lets Jump right in to reality!
Challenge #1 BATHROOMS!
We have 3 bathrooms. The guest bathroom is a fairly easy job. I'll tidy it up, deep clean and them make it look pretty for my next guest. The master bath is a slightly bigger job because it is a bigger room.

But… the kids’ bathroom is my arch nemesis. I don’t know how they blow it up so fast. Also if any of you have a son, we won't even go there. It is a battle zone. A battle zone where no one has good aim. Let's not even talk about the hair ties and bath toys. It's out of control!
Some things you might consider...
Wipe down baseboards
Scrub the floor
Clean tubs, showers, sinks, mirrors and toilets
Toss the rug in the washer
Fold and wash all the towels
Sort toiletries
* Toss anything not being used, expired, or empty
* Combine like items
* Maybe give each type of item or each family member a drawer or basket
Sort through old medicine and discard expired ones or old prescriptions
* Corral hair ties
* Find and sort all of the bath toys
If you find a problem area try to put a system in place that helps everyone keep it tidy. Also, post! We all have trouble areas. Many minds are better than one!
I find that pulling everything out helps me sort like items and then discard what we don’t use.
Make a mess! You have to make a mess to clean a mess.
Once you are finished post a photo. Let us celebrate your progress!
One of my favorite things to use to organize are over the door shoe pockets. They can be cut to size and hung inside cabinet doors. I also like utensil holders and ice cube trays for drawer organization. Plastic storage drawers are also awesome in bathrooms!

Just because they are a favorite doesn't mean they don't need a re-clean once in a while.
